Our staff of coaches are some of the best in the business. Each coach is certified by the USTA, USPTA and PTR. They are SafePlay certified and have passed a rigorous background check before ever stepping on the court.
Becoming a tennis professional is their career ambition, so they take the time to learn how to be the best they can be on and off the court. Their goal is to provide a quality experience for each and every student each and every time!
Scott has been in the tennis industry his entire career. Certified by the USTA, USPTA and PTR in numerous areas, he has been called The Tennis Professor due to his long-term efforts in developing young coaches in an academic arena.

He has coached over 75 players that went on to player collegiate tennis including two NCAA Singles Champions, Mallory Cecil in 2009 and Thai Kwiatkowski in 2017. He earned a M.Ed. in Curriculum Development and Instructional Design from American Intercontinental University and is in the process of earning his D.B.A. from Grand Canyon University.
Scott is a USTA High Performance Coach and earned a Master of Tennis Performance from the PTR. He has passed all levels of the USTA Sport Science Program and is certified as an ATP/GPTCA Level B Coach
He is certified by the PPR and PPTR as a Pickleball and Platform Tennis Coach and ITPA as a Certified Tennis Performance Specialist. He serves as a Coach Developer for the USTA, PTR and USPTA and is the author of several books.
The Professional Tennis Management (PTM) Program at Methodist University has been around for over 40 years and has over 300 alumni involved in the tennis industry. The program is recognized as leader in coach education and is one of three PTM programs to be endorsed by the USPTA.
The students enrolled in the PTM Program are working to become the best in the industry, with many earning industry awards before even graduating from the program. They welcome the opportunity to put into practice the principles and concepts they learn in the classroom to help players achieve their goals.
